George Harrison In Art & Music....on Harrison Street! This is annual event pays homage to the late, great Beatle, George Harrison and takes place at WONDERWALL Music Shoppe & Emporium in Oak Park, west of the City of Chicago.

What We Do

This annual event pays homage to the former Beatle George Harrison who's inspiration radiates in everything we do and represent. This event includes live entertainment and original artwork which depicts the different aspects of George's life....music, spirituality, gardener, etc.

The name of our store WONDERWALL Music Shoppe & Emporium opened ON Harrison Street in 2006. Our connection between the Beatles, India and Hawai'i is strong.

Kicking off this year's event will be:

"The Beatles In India"1968 Photo Exhibit opens Friday, Nov. 18 and runs through December 18, 2011. Intimate photos of The Beatles at Rishikish by world-renowned photographer and film producer, Paul Saltzman.

Wonderwall will showcase George's cultural interest:

INDIA - India classical music, Sitars, Tablas, Tamboura, etc, teaching Sitar, as well as performing live with Sandalwood Sitar Music Ensemble, performs Friday, Nov. 18, 7PM during the opening of this photo exhibit.

HAWAI'I - George was an avid Ukulele player and composed much of his songs on ukulele; bought a home on the island of Mau'i in the 1980s.

Wonderwall's Harrison Street Ukulele Players will perform Saturday, Nov. 19, 1:30 PM. Wonderwall is also the sponsor of Oak Park's'one and only' Oak Park Ukulele Meetup Group.
